Electric Foot File
Important setup, operation, care, safety and troubleshooting information for your Bare & Co. Electric Foot File.
What's included
Check that all supplied components are present before using your device for the first time.
Controls & components
OFF
The device is switched off. Always return the control to OFF before changing a roller head, cleaning or storing the device.
LOW
The gentler speed setting. A good place to start when first becoming familiar with the device.
HIGH
A faster setting for areas requiring additional attention. Continue using light pressure.
Roller Head
The abrasive roller can be removed and exchanged between the coarse and fine options supplied with your device.
Getting started
Inspect your device
Check the foot file, roller head and charging cable for visible damage before use. Do not use damaged components.
Charge before first use
Connect the supplied charging cable to the device and a suitable USB power source. Allow the device to charge before its first use.
Check the roller head
Make sure the selected roller head is correctly fitted and securely seated before switching the device on.
Prepare the area
Use the device on clean, completely dry feet. Do not use over broken, irritated or infected skin.
Choosing your roller head
Coarse Roller
Designed for areas of harder or rougher skin that require more attention. Use gently and avoid excessive pressure.
Fine Roller
Designed for lighter maintenance and finishing, or when a gentler approach is preferred.
- ✓ Switch the device to OFF before removing or replacing a roller head.
- ✓ Gently remove the fitted roller head. Do not force or twist the mechanism excessively.
- ✓ Align the replacement roller correctly and ensure it is securely seated before switching the device on.
Using your Electric Foot File
Remove the protective cover
Take the clear protective cover off the roller before use.
Select your roller
Fit either the coarse or fine roller according to the area you intend to work on.
Start on LOW
If you are unfamiliar with the device, begin using the LOW setting and increase only if comfortable.
Move gently across rough skin
Use light pressure and keep the roller moving. Do not press heavily or hold the roller against the same spot for an extended period.
Stop if uncomfortable
Stop immediately if you experience pain, significant discomfort, irritation or unusual sensitivity.
Switch to OFF
Once finished, switch the device off before cleaning, changing attachments or storing it.
Charging your device
- ✓ Use the supplied charging cable with a suitable USB power source.
- ✓ Make sure the charging connection and surrounding area are clean and dry before connecting the cable.
- ✓ Charge the device on a stable, dry surface away from excessive heat and moisture.
- ✓ Disconnect the device if the cable becomes damaged or if the device behaves unusually while charging.
Cleaning & care
- 1 Switch the device completely OFF.
- 2 Remove the roller head from the device.
- 3 Use the supplied cleaning brush to gently remove loose residue from the roller and surrounding area.
- 4 Wipe the exterior gently with a clean, dry cloth where needed.
- 5 Make sure the device and accessories are clean and dry before reassembling and storing.
Important
- • Do not immerse the device in water or expose the charging connection to water unless specifically stated otherwise on your product packaging.
Storing your device
- ✓ Store the device switched off, clean and completely dry.
- ✓ Fit the protective cover over the roller when the device is not being used.
- ✓ Keep away from excessive heat, direct moisture and environments where the device may be damaged.
- ✓ Keep the device, charging cable and removable components out of reach of small children.
Safety & precautions
Please read before use
- • For external use only.
- • Do not use on cuts, open wounds, irritated, inflamed or infected skin.
- • Do not apply excessive pressure or repeatedly hold the spinning roller against one area.
- • Stop using the device if you experience pain, significant discomfort, irritation or abnormal sensitivity.
- • If you have diabetes, neuropathy, reduced sensation, poor circulation or another condition affecting your feet, seek professional medical advice before using the device.
- • Do not use the device if it, its roller head or charging cable is visibly damaged or operating abnormally.
When to stop & check your device
- ! A roller head that feels loose or does not remain securely fitted.
- ! Unusual vibration, excessive noise or inconsistent roller movement.
- ! Visible damage to the charging cable, charging connection or device body.
- ! Unexpected heat, smell or abnormal behaviour while operating or charging.
- ! Pain, irritation or skin sensitivity during use.
Something not quite right?
Try these simple checks before contacting support.
The device won't switch on
Make sure the device has been charged and that the power control is moved fully into LOW or HIGH. If it still does not operate, stop using it and contact Bare & Co. support.
The roller isn't spinning normally
Switch the device off. Check that the roller is correctly aligned and securely fitted, and make sure there is no visible debris obstructing movement.
The device feels weaker than usual
Recharge the device and check that the roller is clean and able to rotate freely. A worn roller head may also need replacing.
The roller feels loose
Switch the device off immediately. Remove the roller and refit it carefully, making sure it is properly seated. Do not use the device with a roller that cannot be fitted securely.
I'm experiencing discomfort or irritation
Stop using the device. Avoid working repeatedly over the same area and use only light pressure. Seek appropriate professional advice if irritation or discomfort persists.
Roller head replacement
Abrasive roller heads naturally wear with use. Replace a roller when its surface becomes noticeably worn or no longer performs as expected. Bare & Co. replacement roller head sets are available separately.
